We held an election to fill two of our three Resident Board Member positions in August. Three residents Jaqui Hepher, Jonathan Hewitt and Fred Russell stood for the two positions available. We sent out 7126 ballot papers to all of our tenants and of these 1897 were returned, which represents 26.6% of the total. The results were very close and we are pleased to announce that Jaqui Hepher and Fred Russell, both whom are former Resident Board Members, have been elected.
We are pleased to announce that there is a new way for our residents to participate in the way that we deliver our services. By clicking on the link 'Comment on the Vale Housing Association' above you can give us your feedback on different areas of our work that you have experienced. We will make sure a response is sent to you and if we think you have a good idea about how we can improve our services, we will take action wherever possible to put the change in place. We hope that this will encourage more residents to get involved because you are the ones that best know how our services work for you. There has never been an easier way to participate.
We have now launched a new secure site for tenants, allowing you to view rent statements, and track and log repair requests. You will need to register if you've never used these services before.
As well as providing high quality affordable housing, we can also supply people in our area with our Vale Care Link Personal Help Alarms which can provide 'help at the touch of a button' to the elderly or disabled. And you don't even have to be a tenant! Click here for details.
