Data collection

The Vale Housing Association values your right to privacy, however in certain circumstances we do collect information about the users and use of our websites. This includes:

• Logging of your computers address and the data you requested from the website. This is perfectly normal logging that is carried out by almost all websites.
• Logging of details supplied by tenants when registering with Vale Online. These details will be linked with our existing records.
• Recording details of visitors requesting a job application pack or other similar requests.

Disclosure to third parties

Under no circumstances will any of these details be passed on to a third party unless:

• We are required to do so by law.
• We contract a third party to do some work for us. In this case, the third party will be contractually & legally bound to keep such details confidential. 

Data use

We will use the information we collect for:

• Providing the services you request.
• Monitoring usage patterns of the websites to allow us to improve the design and content.
• Sending surveys & other information to Vale Online users from time to time. you can opt out of such mailings by ticking the 'Do not contact' box on the Update Registration page.
