Residents Go On-Line

Tenants of the Vale Housing Association are now able to view their rent account and request a repair on-line thanks to a new range of interactive services provided by the Association.

The new user-friendly system, referred to as “Vale Online”, enables tenants to access essential services 24 hours a day. As well as requesting for repair work to be carried out, tenants can also track the progress of their repair enabling them to monitor how their problem is being dealt with.

The new on-line facilities have been well received by tenants and the number of people registering through the website has steadily increased since the launch of Vale Online. Pat Rench, a tenant and user of Vale Online, explains: It makes very good sense to be able to request a repair on-line because you can report a problem at any time of day, even outside working hours.

Vale Online was introduced in response to the growing number of tenants who have access to the internet and would benefit from these interactive services. Dave Page, Network and Services Manager for The Vale Housing Association, comments: It is important that we continue to expand and evolve to meet the changing needs of our tenants. Vale Online has been specially designed so that it is simple to use but operates at a very high level of security.

Emily Griffith, Communications and Research Manager, also emphasises: Vale Online is an additional facility and will not replace any of our existing services. Residents who do not have access to our website can still expect a high standard of service and can request the same information over the telephone or by calling in to one of our area offices.

Tenants who wish to use these on-line facilities should visit The Vale Housing Association’s website at: www.vale-housing.co.uk.
