Vale Housing Association tenants are invited to come along to “A Day Out For A Change”, the Association’s Resident’s Open Day which is being run jointly with Soha Housing. The event is to be held at the Kassam Stadium in Oxford.
The aim of the day is to give tenants of the Association a chance to find out more about what it does as well as having a chance to influence services in the future. There is also a light-hearted side to the day with free stadium tours and the opportunity to win tickets to the cinema and bowling alley.
A range of other organisations will also be present including the Department of Work and Pensions, The Body Shop, who will be providing free makeovers, Attendo, the company that provides the Vale Carelink alarm service, the Fire Brigade and the Police, to provide information on home safety and security and the Healthy Living Initiative who will be providing information about living more healthily as well as providing free hand and head massages.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to see properties that are available for mutual exchange from Housing Associations across Oxfordshire as well as seeing a display of tenants’ art work and photographs children have taken showing what they like and don’t like about the areas where they live.
